Over 1 year after writing a post on PASSPO, I think it’s about time to do the same for predia. I actually wanted to do this a long time ago (2010) but never got around to it. So, here we go!
predia is the older sister group of PASSPO (ぱすぽ☆). The group was formed in November 2010 and released their debut single ‘Dia Love’ on January 26 2011. Their 2nd single ‘Dream of Love’ was released on July 20 2011 and their upcoming 3rd single ‘Honey B’ is going to be out November 23 2011. They are still in their indie stage.
The meaning behind the group’s name: “dia” from “diamond” and “pre” as in “raw” – like “diamonds in the rough”. The group has 12 members and their concept is being a sexy unit (like PASSPO is a rock unit). predia’s live shows are referred to as a “Party” (and PASSPO’s shows are “Flights” – I will stop with the comparisons now).
